Sealed bearings do not need to be relubricated when the operating temperature does not exceed 70°C and the rotational speed is below 50% of the limiting speed listed in the product table. When temperature and/or speeds are high, relubrication with a similar grease with lithium thickener is recommended. In this case the polymer band, which covers the lubrication holes in the outer ring must be removed before mounting. Note that only a small amount of grease is needed to relubricate sealed bearings. The grease should be pressed in slowly through the lubrication holes in the outer ring while the bearing is rotating. Excessive pressure should be avoided so as not to damage the seals. But if your bearings have gone, the inner drum will move a lot in relation to the outer tub. You may find that for your make and model you do need to buy them separately, but do buy all three as we want to replace the lot. We also have a tub seal in this set, because we going to need to remove the whole tub, split it in two and when we put that back together again it's important that we put a new seal on so that it's nice and water-tight. Now this is a big job, not for the feint hearted , you are going to need a little bit of space to work in, but it's going to save you a fortune compared with buying a new machine or calling out an engineer. The most common type of forging equipment is the hammer and anvil. Principles behind the hammer and anvil are still used today in drop-hammer equipment. The principle behind the machine is simple: raise the hammer and drop it or propel it into the workpiece, which rests on the anvil. The main variations between drop-hammers are in the way the hammer is powered; the most common being air and steam hammers. Drop-hammers usually operate in a vertical position. The main reason for this is excess energy (energy that isn't used to deform the workpiece) that isn't released as heat or sound needs to be transmitted to the foundation. Moreover, a large machine base is needed to absorb the impacts. To overcome some shortcomings of the drop-hammer, the counterblow machine or impactor is used. In a counterblow machine both the hammer and anvil move and the workpiece is held between them. Here excess energy becomes recoil. This allows the machine to work horizontally and have a smaller base. Other advantages include less noise, heat and vibration. It also produces a distinctly different flow pattern. Both of these machines can be used for open-die or closed-die forging. A forging press, often just called a press, is used for press forging.

The most common bearings used on boat trailers are L44643 - L44610 and L44643L - L44610 Bearing number L44643 refers to the bearing cone without built in seal as shown on the left in both pictures. Bearing number L44643 L refers to the bearing cone with built in seal as shown on the right in both pictures. The same cup is used for both having the number L44610.
