The non-separable inner ring and roller assembly is called the cone, and the outer ring is called the cup. Internal clearance is established during mounting by the axial position of the cone relative to the cup.

You may find that for your make and model you do need to buy them separately, but do buy all three as we want to replace the lot. Now this is a big job, not for the feint hearted , you are going to need a little bit of space to work in, but it's going to save you a fortune compared with buying a new machine or calling out an engineer. Y-bearings with an eccentric locking collar are intended primarily for use in applications where the direction of rotation is constant. On one side of the bearing inner ring is an eccentric extension that fits the locking collar. Turning the locking collar on the inner ring extension in the direction of rotation locks the collar and the bearing onto the shaft. A single grub (set) screw further secures the collar to the shaft.
